rules

  • Keep conversations polite and respectful! Any problems are to be reported to, and managed by, moderators.

  • Light teasing is okay as long as it remains respectful, and you stop when requested to.

  • No instigating or continuing arguments

  • No political, religious, or other potentially controversial topics

  • Any harassment, including discrimination and bigotry, is not allowed and will be dealt with.

  • This includes discrimination on the basis of race, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, ethnicity, or any disabilities.

  • Keep all posts non-derogatory and SFW.

  • Profile pictures, statuses, and banners included.

  • No requests or discussion of personal information

  • No misuse of pings.

  • Pinging to ask a question or resolve a dispute is okay.

  • Excessive pinging for personal use or off-topic matters to the point of annoyance is not okay.

  • Game or discord exploits are not allowed. Anything game breaking or disruptive will be removed, reported, and may result in an immediate ban.

  • All spoilers are to be posted in #・ffxiv-spoilers

Occasionally you may be asked to drop a particular topic even when not explicitly covered by the rules if it's believed to be causing distress or a hostile environment.

Officer Rules

  1. No Drama Allowed

  1. If conversations are getting out of hand, members will need to stop conversation.

  2. Any discussions that are racist or offensive are not allowed, and must stop immediately.

  3. If members are arguing, they will need to stop arguing in Free Company chat, and take it to private messages.

  4. If members do not stop the conversation/arguing in Free Company chat, an Officer should intervene.

  5. This may consist of a warning, private conversation, or in extreme cases, removing the offender from the Free Company.

  6. If members are disrespectful, or causing troubles in Discord, provide a warning. Timeout the offender and send a DM telling them why they were timed out. Document this and post in the correct channels on discord. If they don't listen after numerous attempts, kick them from Discord.

  1. Be Respectful to Members & Officers

  1. This means a zero tolerance policy for racial slurs and derogatory comments towards gender identity in our In-Game FC Chat and our Discord Text Channels, this includes memes.

  2. Depending on the severity of the violation, this could result in a warning or immediate kick from the FC and Discord server.

  1. Banning Members & Blacklist

  1. If people are banned from Discord, the person who issues the ban must put their "in-game" name and the reason they are being banned in Discord in the “reason for ban” section.

  2. If a member is kicked from our Free Company, they are added to the blacklist channel with their Lodestone ID link and the reason why they are banned.

  1. Officer Chat Stays in Officer Chat

  1. No quoting or sharing information from the Officer Linkshells, Officer Discord channels, Officer communications, or Private messages within the Free Company chat, personal Linkshells, or any other forms of communication.

  2. Depending on the severity of the violation, this could result in a warning or immediate kick from the FC and Discord server.

  3. Members in the Free Company are not to be put on Officer's Blacklist in FFXIV, or muted in Discord. Officers need to be able to intervene at any time if needed.

  1. Giving Officer Warnings

  1. If Officers are unable to follow their duties, they will receive an official warning. We will keep tabs in a separate Celestial chat channel.

  2. Officers will be demoted if they receive 3 active warnings. Their demotion rank will depend on the severity of the warnings.

  1. Use of Macros

  1. Please relay FC Events at the appropriate times they are advertised so all members have a chance to join the event. .

  2. All officers are required to use macros to help advertise the official events. Macros include monthly parties, monthly events, weekly events, advertising for new officers, etc.

  1. Upholding Officer Responsibilities

  1. Players may be demoted if they are deemed unable to uphold all their responsibilities.

  1. Filing a Formal Complaint

  1. Depending on the situation, officers will NOT be able to provide assistance without any proof. Examples of proof are screenshots and text logs.

  2. If an incident happens in-game or on Discord we would like a photo of the incident (text log) so that we can address the issue. Please provide the entire conversation so we have context instead of the one sentence that is bothersome.

  3. Please submit all photo evidence to a Celestial or Lady Peach on Discord.

  4. If you have a problem with an officer, please send the complaint to either an Celestial or Lady Peach on Discord

  5. This also applies to members suspected of being bots or gil sellers!

  6. Documented strikes must be posted in the appropriate Discord channel (ie. Officer Strikes)

  1. Rules of the FC Chest

  1. Daily allowance for items in the FC Chest: Members are allowed to take 1 Stack of Krakka Root, 1 Stack of Curiel, 1 Stack of Gysahl Greens, 1 Stack of Dyes, and 1 Stack of Battle or Crafting Food per day for their daily allowance.

  2. If members abuse this, then an Luminary/Celestial will need to put the person on the naughty list and talk to the member about the FC rules. Leave the member on this rank until they acknowledge that they will not break these rules in the future.

  3. Do Not Sell For Personal Gain: Do not take things to sell on the market board.

  4. Consequences faced for breaking this rule range from a verbal warning to permanent removal of rights from the FC Chest or dismissal from the FC.

  5. Workshop materials are located in tabs 3 & 4. Do not steal FC materials that are used for the workshop or from Submarine Ventures.

  6. Depending on the offense, this could be grounds for termination. Officers who have rights to tabs 3 & 4 should not move things to the 1st tab without permission.

  7. The FC Chest is not your trashcan.

  8. Accidentally Placed Gil in the Chest: Please be careful to ensure that you do NOT place your gil into the chest that you are not wanting to donate to the FC because it likely will not be reimbursed.

  9. Shards, Crystals, & Clusters: We would like to keep a max of 6000 Shards and Crystals in the FC Chest's at all times. These are for our crafters to use when helping with FC projects..

  10. Selling Items in the Chest: All items that are to be sold go to tab 5 and one of the Solstices will sell them and place the gil back into the FC Chest.

  11. If members abuse this, then a Luminary/Celestial will need to put the person on the naughty list and talk to the member about the FC rules. Leave the member on this rank until they acknowledge that they will not break these rules again in the future.

  12. If a member takes everything / cleans out tab 1 of the FC chest they must be contacted by an officer. A Luminary/Celestial will also need to put the person on the naughty list. If the member does not respond back to an officer within 48 hours then they will be banned from the FC.

  13. If a member takes everything / cleans out tab 1 of the FC chest and leaves the FC they will be banned from the FC.

  1. Mandatory Requirement for Officers

  1. Discord is required to be an officer for communication purposes. If an officer leaves Discord then they are automatically demoted back to a member rank.

  2. Membership of our Officer Cross-World Linkshell (CLS) are required to be an officer. If an officer leaves the CWLS then they are automatically demoted back to member.

Officer Duties and Agreements

  1. Introduction

By agreeing to become a trial officer you are entering into a binding agreement with Caelum.Your agreement with us includes these Terms and Conditions of Use (“Terms”).  (The Terms, Privacy Policy, and any additional terms that you agree to, as discussed in the Entire Agreement section, are referred to together as the “Agreements”.) You acknowledge that you have read and understood the Agreements, accept these Agreements, and agree to be bound by them. If you don’t agree with (or cannot comply with) the Agreements, then you will not be granted a position in Caelum’s Officer Core.Please read the Agreements carefully. They cover important information about Caelum. The Agreements include information about the Changes to the Agreements, Officer Position, Promotions, Demotions, Regulations, Requirements, and more.

  1. Changes to the Agreements

Occasionally we may, in our discretion, make changes to the Agreements. When we make material changes to the Agreements, we’ll provide you with prominent notice as appropriate under the circumstances, e.g., by displaying a prominent notice within the Service or by posting in Discord for our officers to view. In some cases, we will notify you in advance, and your continued use of the Service after the changes have been made will constitute your acceptance of the changes. Please therefore make sure you read any such notice carefully. If you do not wish to continue with being a member of the Caelum Officer core under the new version of the Agreements, you may terminate the Agreements by contacting us on Discord, or in Final Fantasy XIV.

  1. Rights We Grant You

The Caelum Services and the Content are the property of Caelum. We grant you a limited, revocable license to make use of the Caelum Service, and a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to make personal, non-commercial, entertainment use of the Content (the “License”). This License shall remain in effect until and unless terminated by you or Caelum. You promise and agree that you will abide by the Regulations on the Caelum Caard site and the terms outlined in this agreement.You agree to abide by our User guidelines and not to use the Caelum Officer Service, the Content, or any part thereof in any manner not expressly permitted by the Agreements. Except for the rights expressly granted to you in these Agreements as an officer.Third party software (Discord Access, Google Docs Access) included in the Caelum Service are licensed to you either under the Agreements as published in the this section of our our website.

  1. Third Party Applications

The Caelum Service is integrated with third party applications, websites, and services (“Third Party Applications”) to make available content, products, and/or services to you. These Third Party Applications may have their own terms and conditions of use and privacy policies and your use of these Third Party Applications will be governed by and subject to such terms and conditions and privacy policies. You understand and agree that Caelum does not endorse and is not responsible or liable for the behavior, features, or content of any Third Party Application or for any transaction you may enter into with the provider of any such Third Party Applications.

  1. User Generated Content

You promise that, with respect to any User Content you post on in Caelum Alliance Chat or any Third Party Agreements, (1) you have the right to post such User Content.  Caelum may, but has no obligation to, monitor, review, or edit User Content. In all cases, Caelum reserves the right to remove or disable access to any User Content for any or no reason, including but not limited to, User Content that, in Caelum’s sole discretion, violates the Agreements. Caelum may take these actions without prior notification to you. Removal or disabling of access to User Content shall be at our sole discretion, and we do not promise to remove or disable access to any specific User Content.You are solely responsible for all User Content that you post. You agree that if anyone brings a claim against Caelum related to user content that you post, then, you may be held accountable.

  • Gatherer

As an FC, we need a lot of materials! Using Gathering classes (Miner, Botanist, Fisher) to collect items for Airships, Submarines, FC Buffs, Housing Items, FC Events, etc.

  • Crystals, shards, clusters, grade 3 soils, raw materials needed for workshop projects.

  • Crafter

With a combination of FC Workshop items, as well as items given away to members, there is a lot of crafting to be done!

  • foods, potions, items for workshop projects, as well as helping members with items they request!

  • Social Butterfly

People get distracted or busy, and chat can feel pretty empty at times. Your responsibility is to regularly keep chat active and engage our members in conversation!

  • Dungeon Runner

Do like running duties? enjoy helping other players queue? this might be the role for you!

  • Event Runner

Organize weekly events for members to participate in! Both in-game and not are encouraged and welcome.

Luminary Jobs

Here are the tasks you can choose from as a Luminary!

  • Restocking FC Chest

Tab one of the FC chest is filled with stuff for our members to use! It's important to keep this restocked and maintained for their benefit.

  • Deplyoment of FC Buffs

We have a few different buffs on rotation throughout the week that need to be activated regularly! Each night you'll need to get on and make sure to pop the correct buff on time.

  • Clean Chocobo Stables

To yield the most experience from chocobo training we need to make sure the stables stay sparkling! While not the most glamorous job, it is no less important!

  • Monitor Aetherial Wheel

The Aetherial Wheel allows us to produce tier 3 buffs which are very useful! It needs to be watched closely as it takes 70 hours to charge one buff!

  • Airships and Submersibles

Our subs come in routinely to drop off loot! We need to make sure someone is available to finalize this return and send them back out to grab some more.
